Lauren E. Coates focuses her practice on real estate and general civil litigation. Lauren has represented both commercial and residential clients in real estate disputes arising from purchase-and-sale transactions, landlord-tenant issues, boundary disputes and construction defects.
Lauren has experience in guiding clients through every step of the litigation process, from initiation of a lawsuit to successful settlement negotiation.
Prior to beginning her legal career, Lauren was a newspaper journalist for both the Seattle Times and the Los Angeles Times. Lauren currently enjoys volunteering with the King County Bar Association’s Housing Justice Project and the Central District Legal Clinic. Lauren also actively participates in developing continuing legal education seminars for the Washington State Bar Association’s New Lawyer Education program.
